Working on my Hallowe'en costume

An homage to Game of Thrones' King Joffrey Baratheon. Still need to make the sash and then I'm almost done.

I would love a detailed blog about the construction of this garment. I have quite a bit of brocade and a couple of silk pieces from India. I would like to make dresses and perhaps a jacket but am not sure about interfacing and lining. Do the supporting fabrics and inner construction differ from a tailored wool garment?
